Job Description

Role: Program Director – Digital Transformation (Applied CS & AI/ML)

Location: Bangalore, India

Core Mission: To bridge the gap between CS, AI/ML theory and industry

The Role

As the Program Director for Digital Transformation, you will collaborate with the AI CoE to produce the next generation of AI engineers and digital architects. Your mission is to ensure extreme market relevance by integrating Bangalore's tech giants and startups into our Learning by Doing framework.

Your Strategic Priorities

  • Career Architect: Serve as the primary bridge for student internships and high-stakes placements in AI, ML, and Data Science roles.

  • Industry-Integration: Partner with industry leaders to build academia-industry cross-learning e.g. course-sprints delivered by senior engineers and practitioners for students; Simultaneously establish AU as the place for upskilling industry professionals.

  • The Problem Pipeline: Partner with CoEs to scout real-time industry problem statements and convert them into credit-bearing projects.

  • Consultancy & Project Lead Generation: Actively prospect and secure high-value industry-sponsored projects, R&D initiatives, and consultancy assignments that can be executed within the Centers of Excellence (CoEs).

  • Growth & Enrolment: Drive the program's reputation and invite the best students to enrol.

Key Responsibilities

  • Placement Leadership: Organize specialized placement drives and industry challenges that showcase student-built AI solutions.

  • Student Navigation: Provide high-touch mentorship to help students select the right industry projects and capstones to match their career goals.

  • Business Development Acumen: Proven track record in Lead Generation, Consultative Sales, or Technology Transfer within a B2B or Higher-Ed context.

  • Ecosystem Building: Represent Atria University at tech conferences and through thought-leadership to elevate our program's national visibility.

  • Continuous Improvement: Use feedback from tech partners to tweak sprint content, ensuring students stay updated on evolving technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science / EE or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience, with a significant portion in a leadership, management, or business development role within a relevant industry OR in a high-growth academic/career services role.
  • Demonstrated experience in industry liaison, talent acquisition, or career services is essential.

  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret industry trends and student data.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-cultural interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a proven ability to drive growth.

  • Prior experience in a start-up or rapidly scaling organization.
  • Familiarity with the Indian education and industrial landscape, particularly in Bangalore/South India.
  • An established professional network within relevant technology or engineering sectors
