About the Project Stitch by Stitch
The Stitch-by-Stitch project aims to empower women and youth from marginalized communities through vocational training in tailoring, stitching, and livelihood promotion. The center serves as a hub for capacity building, entrepreneurial development, and sustainable income generation.
Key Responsibilities
1.Training & Capacity Building
- Conduct hands-on training sessions on basic to advanced tailoring, stitching, fabric handling, and machine operations.
- Develop training plans, session schedules and practical assessments.
- Provide individual support to trainees to help them build confidence and skills.
- Maintain trainee progress reports and ensure quality training outcomes.
2.Center Coordination & Administration
- Oversee daily operations of the training center.
- Ensure availability and maintenance of tools, machines, raw material and learning resources.
- Maintain attendance records, documentation, inventory, and monthly reports.
- Ensure safety, hygiene, and discipline at the center.
3.Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with CSR partners, NGOs, local government bodies, vendors, expert trainers, and other stakeholders.
- Support project monitoring and evaluation visits.
- Facilitate donor/CSR engagements and communicate center activities with the project team.
4.Community & Participant Engagement
- Mobilize and engage women/ youth from local communities to join the program.
- Organize awareness campaigns, orientation sessions, and follow-ups.
- Build rapport with community leaders, SHGs, and local institutions.
- Encourage trainees toward entrepreneurship or employment pathways.
5.Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Document success stories, photographs, and training outcome data.
- Help in preparing presentations, proposals, and impact reports when required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (preferably social work, fashion designing, vocational training, or related field).
- Formal certification in tailoring/designing is an added advantage.
- Fluency in Gujarati, Hindi, and basic English.

Remuneration
- Based on experience and qualifications. Additional travel and training-related allowance as per project norms.
