Program Coordinator

Ashwini Charitable Trust (ACT) is a Non-Governmental Organization, founded in 2000 by a group of women in Bengaluru to educate and empower underprivileged children from the Ulsoor slums. Over the years, ACT has expanded its impact, growing from supporting 9 children to fostering the all-round development of over 360 children by 2018. The organization focuses on holistic education that nurtures the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of every child. Supported weekly by more than 300 volunteers, ACT commits to creating confident strides for children, symbolized by its child footprint logo. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Program Coordinator located in Bengaluru. The Program Coordinator will oversee and manage educational and development programs, ensuring their successful implementation. Responsibilities include managing projects, designing and improving programs, coordinating with volunteers, building relationships with stakeholders, and facilitating communication between the organization and beneficiaries. Day-to-day tasks will also involve solving challenges related to program delivery and ensuring the needs of the children and community are met.

• Strong Program Management and Program Development skills, including the ability to plan, implement, and evaluate initiatives effectively
• Experience in Project Management and oversight of multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to engage effectively with children, parents, volunteers, and stakeholders
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Demonstrated adaptability, problem-solving aptitude, and a passion for community service
• Relevant experience in the NGO/education sector is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in social work, education, or a related field is preferred
