Program Overview for Sustainable Cities and Transport

WRI India's Integrated Transport Program supports India's decarbonization journey through effective, equitable, and inclusive mobility solutions. The program focuses on advancing sustainable urban transport, including electrification of public transport, clean air initiatives, and hydrogen economy. It emphasizes strategic research, policy support, and capacity building to enable systemic changes at the sub-national level and accelerate electric mobility adoption.

Job Highlight:

The role focuses on advancing financing mechanisms for electric mobility and developing capacity building initiatives. You will conduct research on EV financing models, develop training materials, and deliver capacity building sessions to stakeholders. You will support the development of knowledge products, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning for EV finance and deployment. As part of this program, we are looking to recruit a Program Associate with a master's degree in business, finance or economics, with at least two years of full time, relevant post-study work experience of their skills in natural resource management field.

What will you do:

  • Conduct research on financing mechanisms for electric mobility including public, private, and blended finance models
  • Develop financial instruments and models to support EV adoption and infrastructure development
  • Create capacity building materials such as training modules, presentations, and toolkits for stakeholders
  • Deliver capacity building sessions and workshops to financial institutions, government officials, transport agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Monitor and evaluate EV finance projects and capacity building initiatives
  • Co-author reports, briefs, and other knowledge products related to electric mobility finance and capacity building
  • Support program management activities including work planning, reporting, and donor engagement
  • Write and edit material including blog posts, op-eds, e-blasts and other compelling communications that serves to translate technical material for various audiences.

What will you need:

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Transport Economics, Business, Finance, Commerce
  • At least 2 to 4 years of work experience preferably in asset financing, project financing (in sectors such as transport, logistics, or urban sectors)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • Proven track record of analysis, writing and working with interdisciplinary teams

Potential Salary and Benefits: 9,50,000 to 12,50,000 INR CTC Per Annum

Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills. WRI offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package.

Location: Delhi

Duration: 1 Year (Extendable based on performance and project requirements)

Start date: As soon as possible
