Project Summary

This program helps teachers improve their skills to make learning better for students. It provides training, content, and continuous support to help teachers grow. The goal is to improve student learning by helping teachers use technology and new teaching methods. With digital tools, interactive activities, and group learning, the program makes classrooms more engaging and inclusive for all students.

Position Summary

The incumbent will play a crucial role in improving government residential schools in Maharashtra by supporting the development of students cognitive and social skills. The main responsibilities include close collaboration with teachers, students, school leaders, and government officials to ensure effective program implementation. A key aspect of the role is coordinating closely with the ground team deployed locally in Maharashtra, which involves understanding the challenges faced at the school level and actively reviewing the progress of activities and interventions. The incumbent will be responsible for planning activities, monitoring ongoing progress, facilitating communication among all stakeholders, and ensuring the program adheres to its objectives and timelines. This role demands strong organizational and interpersonal skills to maintain seamless coordination between the field teams, school communities, and governmental bodies.

Key Responsibilities

Program Implementation & Support

  • Oversee, guide and coordinate overall program implementation working with a team of people posted locally in Maharashtra
  • Work with a team that supports schools, ensuring program activities are carried out effectively
  • Development of milestones, strategic planning for accomplishment of goals and ensuring program objectives are met
  • Coordination with the internal team to ensure the dissemination of program deliverables to the on-ground staff timely and developing accountability in the team towards a common goal
  • Collaborate with school leadership and teachers to integrate program interventions effectively into existing curricula and school routines

Team Leadership & Capacity Building

  • Lead and coordinate with the ground team, understanding their challenges and providing necessary support
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss progress, share best practices, and address operational challenges
  • Identify capacity gaps within the team and organize targeted training sessions or workshops to strengthen their skills and knowledge
  • Mentor team members to enable proactive problem-solving and efficient program delivery

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Ensure that the on-ground team submits daily reports on school visits, teacher engagement, and progress
  • Conduct periodic field visits and direct assessments to understand ground realities and verify implementation quality
  • Monitor key program objectives and intervene when necessary to ensure timely execution
  • Maintain clear records of program activities, challenges, and success stories and preparing clear, concise reports for management and stakeholders
  • Monitor qualitative and quantitative data from schools and field staff to assess impact and identify bottlenecks
  • Share field insights, challenges, and recommendations with senior management for program improvements

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain ongoing communication and coordination with relevant government officials to align program objectives with state education policies and standard
  • Foster strong relationships with school principals, teachers, and local education authorities to facilitate smooth program adoption
  • Represent the program in stakeholder meetings, workshops, and community forums to advocate for support and resources

Administrative & Logistical Support

  • Ensure logistical arrangements such as transportation, material procurement, and scheduling of team and school visits are well-organized
  • Ensuring that all aspects of the program's operations are comprehensively captured and accounted for
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to program activities, team attendance, and resource utilization
  • In addition to the specific areas previously outlined, the incumbent is also expected to participate and contribute in any other program-related activities as per the requirement and take an active role in supporting supplementary initiatives

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Social Work, Management, or a related field
  • Work Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in program implementation, fieldwork, or education-related projects
  • Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring local ground teams, understanding their challenges, and building their capacity through training and coaching
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders including school leaders and education authorities
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to identify and resolve challenges on the groun
  • Independence & Initiative: Ability to work independently and take initiative in a target-driven environment
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic understanding of digital tools, online platforms, and reporting mechanisms
  • Language Requirement: Strong verbal and written communication skills in Marathi, Hindi, and English for effective coordination with government officials, teachers, and team members
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively within Maharashtra and occasionally to other states as required.

Working Details and Remuneration

  • Remuneration will be commensurate to candidate's experience and will be within the range of INR 30,000-35,000 CTC per month
  • The incumbent will be based in Delhi with frequent travel to Maharashtra. Additionally, occasional travel to other states may be required as per program needs
