Faculty Positions at The NorthCap University, Gurugram, Haryana

The NorthCap University (NCU) invites accomplished academics and passionate educators to join our growing team. Applications are invited for senior faculty positions in the School of Law, and Centre for Language Learning. The candidate should possess a PhD degree with minimum 10 years experience in teaching and research in relevant discipline at a reputed institute, preferably holding a leadership position.

Positions

1. Professor School of Law (SOL)

The School of Law offers B.B.A. LL.B., LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D. programs in Law and legal studies. A professor would be required to teach courses and guide PhDs in the aforesaid programs of the School of Law. Besides this the candidate should possess the knowledge of the development of legal curricula in line with BCI requirements, pursue impactful legal research, and actively engage with the regulatory bodies.

2. Professor English Literature for Centre for Language Learning (CLL)

The Centre for Language Learning (part of School of Management & Liberal Studies) offers a dynamic academic environment through its B.A. (Hons.) English, M.A.(English), and Ph.D. programs in English Literature. Faculty are expected to engage in scholarly research, mentor students across levels, teaching courses in UG, PG and PhD programs offered by CLL and contribute meaningfully to curriculum innovation.

Qualifications & Eligibility: As per UGC norms for Direct Recruitment of Professors (LINK)

Desirables:

• A strong research background with a consistent record of publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals(Scopus/Web of Science indexed).
• Proven experience in guiding PhD scholars as supervisor.
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and lead funded research projects (ICSSR, UGC, etc.) and successfully secure external research grants.
• Experience in organizing or participating in national/international conferences, seminars, workshops, and FDPs.
• A history of interdisciplinary research collaborations and institutional partnerships.
• Experience in curriculum design and implementation aligned with NEP 2020 and industry requirements.
• Prior academic leadership experience as HoD/Dean/Director and a minimum of 10 years of overall relevant experience as per UGC norms
• Ability to mentor faculty and build research capacity within the department.
• Active participation in institutional development, accreditation, ranking and rating processes (e.g., NAAC, NIRF)
