Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Psychology Department, aligning with the university&aposs mission and goals.
- Lead and manage the department&aposs academic programs, including undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
- Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum, ensuring academic excellence and relevance.
- Manage the department&aposs budget, resources, and personnel, ensuring effective use and allocation.
- Foster a culture of research excellence, supporting faculty research and publication activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including industry partners, professional organizations, and the broader community.
- Represent the department and faculty in university-wide forums and committees.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- PhD in Psychology or a related field.
- Proven academic leadership experience, including departmental or faculty leadership roles.
- Strong research and publication record in Psychology or a related field.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
- Strong budget management and financial planning skills.
- Familiarity with university policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
