Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jammu, for positions including Professor, Professor of Practice, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Trainer/Programmer. The role involves delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions, designing and updating curricula, and preparing course materials aligned with institutional and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include mentoring and advising learners, supervising projects, conducting assessments, and maintaining academic records. Faculty and trainers are expected to engage in research or applied projects, contribute to academic committees, participate in departmental activities, and support accreditation and quality assurance processes. Collaboration with industry, participation in conferences, workshops, and continuous professional development are encouraged to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
Qualifications
- Relevant postgraduate or doctoral degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, with qualifications and experience aligned with regulatory norms for Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, or Trainer/Programmer roles.
- Strong subject-matter expertise and applied knowledge, with the ability to teach core and elective courses, guide projects, and integrate current industry practices and technologies into the curriculum.
- Demonstrated teaching, training, or programming experience, including skills in instructional design, classroom and laboratory management, learner assessment, and use of educational technologies.
- Research orientation or professional practice experience, evidenced by publications, projects, industry collaborations, or contributions to innovation and consultancy.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and support a diverse learner community.
- Commitment to academic integrity, outcome-based education, continuous improvement, and active participation in departmental and institutional activities, including accreditation and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with national and international higher education standards and regulatory frameworks; prior experience in an autonomous or accredited institution is an advantage.
- Proficiency with relevant software, programming languages, laboratory tools, and digital platforms used for teaching, learning, and academic administration.
