Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Professor of Finance based in the Mohali district campus of Amity University. The Professor of Finance will deliver lectures and seminars in finance and related disciplines, design and update course curricula, and guide learners through case studies, projects, and practical applications aligned with industry needs. Responsibilities include supervising research at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, publishing scholarly work, and contributing to departmental and university-level academic initiatives. The role involves mentoring students, participating in academic committees, engaging with industry and professional bodies, and supporting accreditation and quality assurance processes. The professor is expected to foster an inclusive learning environment and contribute to the university's mission of grooming ethical leaders.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in core Finance domains, including corporate finance and financial management.
• Solid foundation in Accounting principles and practices relevant to teaching and research.
• Advanced knowledge of Economics as it relates to financial markets, policy, and business decisions.
• Demonstrated research skills, including publication in peer-reviewed journals and guidance of research scholars.
• Doctoral degree (PhD) in Finance or Accounting.
• Prior teaching experience at the university level with a record of effective classroom delivery and curriculum development.
• Ability to integrate technology and innovative pedagogies in teaching and assessment.
• Strong communication, mentoring, and academic leadership skills, with a commitment to inclusive and ethical practices.
• Engagement with professional or industry bodies, and experience in consultancy or applied research is an added advantage.
