Primary Title: SQL & PL/SQL Technical Trainer
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, on-site instructor-led training on DBMS fundamentals, SQL and PL/SQL through structured lectures, live demos, and hands-on labs.
- Design and maintain practical lab exercises, real-world projects, coding challenges, quizzes and assessments aligned to placement-readiness outcomes.
- Explain core database concepts (normalization, indexing, transactions, ACID, locking) and demonstrate performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
- Develop and update curriculum content to incorporate emerging technologies (cloud databases, NoSQL patterns, containerised DB workloads) in collaboration with curriculum and product teams.
- Assess learner progress through diagnostic tests, provide actionable feedback, mentor students during office hours, and escalate training gaps to program leads.
- Create clear training documentation, slide decks, solution walk-throughs and reproducible lab environments; support training delivery excellence and peer enablement.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven experience delivering technical training or classroom instruction in DBMS, SQL and PL/SQL.
- Strong hands-on expertise with SQL and PL/SQL development and debugging.
- Practical experience with Oracle Database and MySQL (installation, schema design, backup/restore basics).
- Demonstrated competence in query optimization, indexing strategies and performance tuning.
- Ability to author labs, assessments and instructor guides; familiarity with instructional design principles for adult learners.
- Comfortable working on-site in India and coordinating with placement/career teams for student assessments.
Preferred
- Familiarity with cloud-managed databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL) or NoSQL systems.
- Experience with cohort-based learning platforms, virtual labs, or LMS integrations.
- Certifications such as Oracle PL/SQL Developer or related database qualifications.
