The Professor is responsible for academic leadership, teaching, research, curriculum development, student mentorship, industry collaboration, and departmental administration. The role focuses on advancing academic excellence and fostering innovation in engineering education.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Academic Delivery
- Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses in CSE/ECE.
- Develop and update course content aligned with current industry trends.
- Design laboratory work, assignments, projects, and assessments.
- Use modern teaching methods, LMS platforms, simulations, and project-based learning approaches.
2. Research & Innovation
- Conduct high-quality research in areas such as:
- AI/ML
- Data Science
- Cybersecurity
- Cloud Computing
- IoT
- Blockchain
- VLSI
- Embedded Systems
- Communication Technologies
- Publish research papers in reputed journals and conferences.
- Apply for funded research projects and grants.
- Guide PhD scholars, M.Tech students, and research projects.
3. Academic Leadership
- Lead curriculum design and accreditation initiatives.
- Mentor junior faculty members.
- Participate in strategic planning and departmental development.
- Contribute to policy formulation and academic quality enhancement.
4. Student Mentoring
- Guide students in academics, research, internships, and career planning.
- Monitor student performance and provide academic counseling.
- Support innovation, entrepreneurship, and technical competitions.
5. Industry Collaboration
- Build partnerships with industry and research organizations.
- Promote internships, consultancy projects, and collaborative research.
- Organize workshops, seminars, FDPs, and industry interaction programs.
6. Administrative & Institutional Duties
- Serve on departmental and university committees.
- Support accreditation, admissions, placements, and academic events.
- Contribute to institutional growth and quality assurance activities.
Eligibility Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Typically 15–20 years of academic and research experience for Professor-level positions.
- Strong publication record and research achievements.
- Experience in academic administration and leadership roles.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
