Job Title: Product Service Engineer – Solar Inverters (After-Sales)
Location: Ahmadabad, Gujarat (Field-based, local travel required)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on Product Service Engineer to deliver after-sales technical support, troubleshooting, and on-site service for solar inverters. The role is primarily(after-sales), ensuring system up-time and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site installation, commissioning, fault diagnosis, and repair of solar inverters at residential, commercial, and utility-scale sites.
- Respond to customer service requests promptly, resolving technical issues remotely or on-site.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and firmware updates.
- Document service reports, failure analysis, and warranty claims.
- Train customer technicians on basic operation and maintenance of solar inverters.
- Coordinate with internal engineering and supply chain teams for spare parts and technical escalations.
Requirements:
- Diploma or BE in Electrical / Electronics / Power Electronics.
- 2–5 years of hands-on after-sales service experience specifically with solar inverters (string or central inverters).
- Strong knowledge of inverter troubleshooting, DC/AC side faults, communication protocols (RS485, Modbus, etc.), and grid synchronization.
- Familiarity with solar PV system components (panels, combiner boxes, meters, etc.).
- Willingness to travel within Ahmadabad and nearby industrial/commercial zones.
- Good English and Gujarati/Hindi communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and own transport preferred.
Preferred (nice to have):
- Experience with brands like SMA, Sungrow, Huawei, Delta, ABB, Fronius, or local Indian brands.
- Knowledge of remote monitoring platforms and data loggers.
