About Our Client

Our client is a leading provider of industrial and mining services, specialising in the preparation and ceramic lining of mining chutes and components. With a strong focus on quality, safety and efficient workshop operations, they provide a hands-on environment where employees can develop valuable industrial skills and experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and motivated Workshop Hand to join a busy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing mining chutes for ceramic lining, cutting and installing ceramic tiles, and completing general hands-on workshop duties. Previous workshop, manufacturing or hands-on experience is highly regarded, with full training provided for candidates willing to learn industrial tiling.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Workshop Hand, you will assist with the preparation and ceramic lining of mining chutes and components. You will work within a workshop environment completing repetitive, hands-on tasks while ensuring all work is completed accurately and to the required quality and safety standards.

Your Duties Will Include

Preparing mining chutes and components for ceramic lining

Measuring and cutting ceramic tiles to the required sizes

Applying adhesive and installing ceramic tiles to chutes and components

Measuring, aligning and finishing tiles to required standards

Using hand and power tools as required

Performing repetitive hands-on workshop duties

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area

Following workplace health and safety procedures

Assisting with general workshop duties as required

Roster

Monday to Friday

Ad-hoc Saturdays

Monday to Thursday: 6:00am 4:30pm

Friday: 6:00am 12:00pm / 2:30pm

30-minute unpaid lunch break

What You Will Need

Previous workshop, manufacturing or hands-on experience

Good attention to detail and accuracy

Comfortable performing repetitive physical work

Reliable and safety-focused approach to work

Willingness to learn industrial tiling techniques

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Ability to follow instructions and maintain quality standards

Preferred

Current Forklift Licence

Dogging and/or Rigging tickets

Previous mining or fabrication experience

Experience using hand and power tools
