Specific focus is on well performance optimization and flow assurance using steady-state and transient flow modeling technologies.
Provides expertise in the application of existing Chevron Integrated Production Modeling (IPM) tools and processes including Chevron's Digital Oilfield (DOF) Solution for all asset classes.
Supports the development and deployment of new IPM technologies and DOF solution enhancements.
Promotes IPM and DOF technologies through Communities of Practice, on demand services and formal training.
Teaming with other disciplines and BU partners, responsibilities may include participation in subsurface surveillance and optimization platform activities.
Required Qualifications
BS and MS in Petroleum Engineering or other engineering discipline.
Experience in hands-on production engineering problem solving including integrated production modeling and artificial lift analysis.
Proficient user of production engineering modeling tools with demonstrated skills to build and calibrate well, network, and reservoir models to recommend production optimization efforts.
Experience in well performance optimization, well modeling and flow assurance.
Demonstrated ability to identify and apply new technology to improve production performance.
Experience using production modeling tools for artificial lift optimization (gas lift, ESP, PCP, and/or plunger lift) in broad range of reservoirs is strongly desired.
Transient modeling and pipeline modeling experience is a plus.
