Job Description

  • Responsible for monitoring ETL jobs across multi-domain enterprise data warehouse. Ensuring data is delivered on-time and accurately. Owning resolution of any issues and ensuring proper root cause analysis is documented.
  • Diagnosing and resolving application issues to ensure optimal performance and usability for the various system users and providing root cause analysis with recommendations for improvements.
  • Being accountable for performing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly operations tasks required for the ongoing functionality of the software applications
  • Carrying out programming and debugging duties (develop queries/reports of varying complexity, fix programmatic issues)
  • Researching, recommending and implementing changes to batch ETL jobs
  • Create operations and support-related documentation
  • Ready to work in Shifts (24x7 support – 3 shifts)

Required Skills

  • 2-4 years of IT experience
  • Advanced skill in configuring and supporting software applications
  • Good knowledge in writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience with object-oriented language (python is a Plus)
  • Strong understanding of job orchestration tools like Jenkins and/or Airflow, code repository tools like Git and/or Bitbucket
  • Strong software development and debug/troubleshooting skills
  • Advanced ability to research, analyze and recommend improvements to the organization's use of the software applications
  • Advanced skill in creating and maintaining technical documentation

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Prior Production Support experience
  • Working knowledge of Spark and AWS technologies like S3Lambda, and Step Functions
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and ticketing tools like Jira
  • Working knowledge of incident management systems like ServiceNow and/or PagerDut
