Requirements And Responsibility

Technical competencies

  • Knowledge on Electrical motors
  • Strong process knowledge and experience in Motor manufacturing.
  • Process knowledge on Winding, Brazing, Welding and Electrical testing of Motor are preferred.

Production Management

  • Production planning and scheduling for each work center and ensuring rhythmic output.
  • Conducting daily morning meeting with operators to communicate SQCD status.
  • Manpower planning and allocation.
  • Monitoring daily output of each Man/ Work center as per plan.
  • Work order tracking and closing as per Work order due date.
  • Prioritizing the customer critical parts based on communication from planner.
  • Completing project stators with special focus.
  • Attending minor machine breakdowns and Follow up with maintenance for major breakdowns.
  • Efficiency monitoring for all operators and analyzing the gaps
  • Improving utilization of trainees by proper manning.
  • Multiskilling of operators in all stages.
  • Ensure Trainees are properly oriented and trained.
  • Tracking Tools and consumables and monitoring fixtures availability
  • Updating project motors resource availability checklist

EHS

  • Weekly safety audit in department and closing open points.
  • Training the operators and ensuring 100% EHS compliance in department.
  • Ensuring operators using prescribed PPE's while working
  • Improving shop floor operator involvement in EHS by safety committee meeting.
  • Monthly safety walk with management team

Quality

  • Daily tracking of FPY and action planning.
  • Daily quality meeting to address critical issues.
  • Eliminating customer complaints by strengthening in-house process
  • Identification of rejection and rework.
  • Ensuring rework process are followed as per WI
  • Timely removal of Rework and scrap.
  • Problem solving with the team using QC tools or 8D Methodology.

Lean Manufacturing

  • Improving associate involvement in Suggestion, Kaizen, and Quality circle by training and motivating.
  • Implementing pull system in every stage of process and monitoring the progress
  • Active participation in CIP workshops and initiating new CIP.
  • Creating VSM and identifying VA and NVA to draw VSD with CIP projects
  • Following up CIP projects with A3 project sheet.
  • Improving 5S in the department by training and motivating the associates and frequent audit.
  • OEE Monitoring for critical operations and improving OEE as per plant target.
  • Improving visualization in the department by implementing different visualization standards.

IR

  • Attending Technician's grievance and timely escalating the issues to the management.
  • Ensuring the shop floor disciplines for Technician's on adhering to the workplace standards, Using PPE and following process standards and specifications.
  • Recording and escalating the operator's disciplinary or behavioral issues.

Other

  • Local language Must and should
  • Computer skills Basics SAP/other ERP, Microsoft office.

Qualifications

  • Education: B.E / B.Tech/ Diploma - In Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
  • Work experience: BE-/ B.Tech Min 3 years in the Manufacturing or Diploma 5 Yrs. Exp in Manufacturing
  • Proven capabilities in these key behavioral competencies
  • Building trust; adaptability; building strategic working relationships across functions; decision making; initiating action; facilitating change; information monitoring; quality orientation; and aligning team performance for success
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Authorities

  • Grant permission to technicians for out pass/half day leave based on emergencies
