The Role
We are looking for a result-oriented Production Supervisor to manage our daily operations. You will be responsible for leading the shop floor team, ensuring that production targets are met safely and efficiently, and maintaining the high standards our clients expect.
Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the production team to ensure a productive and disciplined work environment.
* Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations for Slitting and Cut-to-Length lines.
* Planning & Scheduling: Implement production schedules and coordinate activities to meet deadlines.
* Quality & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and quality control standards.
* Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and suggest methods to improve production yield and reduce waste.
* Resource Management: Ensure machinery is well-maintained and raw materials are utilized effectively.
Who You Are
* Education: Minimum Diploma holder (Mechanical/Production Engineering preferred).
* Experience: At least 3 years of proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with steel service center operations (Slitting/CTL) is a significant advantage.
* Leadership Skills: Strong ability to manage people, resolve conflicts, and lead by example.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate between management and the shop floor.
* Local Candidate: Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in or willing to relocate to Jamshedpur.
