Production Supervisor – Assistant Manager

General Responsibilities

Responsible for managing production operations with a strong focus on Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, productivity, quality, safety, and cost optimization. Ensure production targets are achieved through efficient resource utilization, waste elimination, continuous improvement, and effective team management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the production team to achieve operational targets.
• Plan and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing practices, including 5S, Kaizen, standardization, and waste reduction.
• Improve productivity, machine utilization, and manpower efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, SOPs, and quality requirements.
• Monitor production KPIs, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives by reducing rejection, rework, downtime, and material wastage.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve process performance.

Education & Experience

• 5–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably high-volume or automotive.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering preferred.
• Hands-on experience in grinding, heat treatment, and press operations is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, problem-solving techniques, and continuous improvement practices.
• Good analytical, communication, team leadership, and coordination skills.
• Results-oriented, with strong ownership and a focus on achieving measurable improvements.
