Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations in our furniture factory. The role involves supervising workers, ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and meeting delivery timelines. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in furniture manufacturing, strong leadership skills, and the ability to optimize production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production activities and manage workforce in the factory.
- Plan, allocate, and monitor tasks to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards at every stage of furniture manufacturing.
- Monitor usage of raw materials, minimize wastage, and ensure proper inventory control.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and dispatch teams for smooth operations.
- Train, guide, and motivate shop-floor workers to achieve productivity targets.
- Enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards in the factory.
- Troubleshoot production issues and suggest process improvements.
- Maintain daily production records and report progress to management.
- Ensure machinery and tools are properly maintained and serviced on time.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering (preferred).
- 3–6 years of experience in furniture or wood/metal manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, materials (wood, laminates, hardware, upholstery), and machinery.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings/designs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and focus on quality and efficiency.
- Working knowledge of MS Office / ERP systems is an advantage.
