Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities in the sheet metal fabrication department, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety compliance, and manpower management are effectively achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day operations in sheet metal fabrication (Laser Cutting, Bending, Welding, Assembly).
- Ensure production targets are met as per the daily/weekly production plan.
- Allocate manpower effectively and monitor operator performance.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and reduce rejection/rework.
- Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores departments.
- Monitor machine utilization and report breakdown issues.
- Ensure safety compliance and maintain 5S practices on the shop floor.
- Maintain production reports, shift reports, and MIS data.
- Train and guide operators on process improvements.
- Implement Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to handle a team of operators/workers.
- Basic understanding of drawings and production planning.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Qualification:
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)
Experience:
- 25years in sheet metal fabrication industry
- Minimum 2 years experience as Supervisor / Line In-charge
