Our Cloud Operations team is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of production infrastructure that supports a rapidly growing global client base. The team is committed to operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement, ensuring seamless delivery of cloud-hosted applications and services. Through strong collaboration with engineering, DevOps, and support teams, we enable high availability and high performance across mission-critical environments.

2. Job Summary

As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will manage, support, and optimize cloud-based production systems. You will be responsible for application deployments, system monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and automation initiatives across multi-cloud environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work in a 247 rotational shift model, including night shifts.

Responsibilities-

  • Deploy, configure, upgrade, and support applications in cloud environments.
  • Monitor production systems, respond to alerts, and ensure high availability.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and networking issues with quick turnaround.
  • Perform incident management, document actions, and provide RCA reports.
  • Manage backups, data recovery, and support disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Automate recurring operational tasks using CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Build and maintain new cloud environments, servers, and application stacks.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices across all cloud systems.
  • Support network-related tasks including firewall rules, DNS, and load balancing.
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, and support teams to ensure smooth release cycles.
  • Maintain system documentation, configurations, runbooks, and operational guidelines.
  • Participate in performance tuning, capacity planning, and continuous optimization efforts.
  • Follow ITIL-based processes for change management and service delivery improvement.

Qualifications & Skills

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in IT operations, cloud operations, or application support.
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills on Windows and Linux servers.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency with automation/configuration tools (Git, Jenkins, Terraform, Chef, etc.).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals-DNS, routing, load balancing, firewalls.
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to work in 247 rotational shifts.

Good-to-Have:

  • Exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop or Kafka.
  • Experience supporting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and structured incident/change management.
