Job Summary:-
Responsible for preparing and monitoring production plans to ensure smooth manufacturing operations, timely delivery, optimum inventory levels, and efficient utilization of manpower and machines.
Role & responsibilities :-
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts and customer orders.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, stores, quality, and dispatch departments for smooth workflow.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders.
- Handle Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and ensure material availability.
- Track Work-in-Progress (WIP) and maintain production status reports.
- Prepare and maintain production MIS reports and planning documentation.
- Optimize machine utilization, manpower allocation, and production capacity.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for raw material planning.
- Ensure adherence to production timelines and dispatch schedules.
- Work on ERP/SAP systems for production planning and inventory tracking.
- Identify bottlenecks and support process improvement activities.
- Maintain inventory control and minimize production delays.
- Follow quality standards and manufacturing SOPs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives like Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen.
