Production Planning & Operations Lead (Apparels)

Role Summary:

Own end-to-end production planning and execution, aligning raw materials, fabric, capacity, and timelines with sales forecasts and collection plans to ensure uninterrupted production, optimal inventory, and consistent quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and manage end-to-end production, aligned with sales forecasts and collection calendars.

Drive raw material and fabric procurement: quantity planning, style-wise allocation, and ordering timelines.

Define bulk production quantities to minimize stock-outs while optimizing inventory and working capital.

Strategically manage the Ready Stock vs MTO mix, minimizing dependency on MTO.

Oversee all production stages: pattern, cutting, stitching, finishing, to ensure timely execution.

Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and technical issues proactively.

Lead Sampling and Bulk Production, ensuring smooth handover from design to manufacturing.

Drive ERP (Vastra App) adoption for planning, inventory, and order tracking.

Maintain data accuracy and process discipline across systems.

Lead and mentor production and planning teams; implement process improvements for scale.

Experience & Skills:

610+ years in apparel production planning / manufacturing operations.

Strong knowledge of fabric sourcing, printing, and garment construction.

Hands-on ERP experience; data-driven decision-making mindset.

Strong execution, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
