We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented PPC (Production Planning & Control) and Production Assistant Manager to support end-to-end production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for effective planning, scheduling, and execution of production activities while ensuring optimal resource utilization and timely delivery. This role bridges planning and shop floor execution, ensuring targets are met in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Control (PPC): Develop and implement monthly, weekly, and daily production plans in alignment with sales and inventory requirements.Monitor progress against plans, adjusting schedules and resources as needed.Coordinate with procurement, stores, and quality departments for material and component availability. Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement in planning and workflow.Maintain and update planning documents, production MIS, and KPI reports.
Production Management: Supervise daily operations to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and productivity targets.Collaborate with production supervisors to allocate manpower and machine resources efficiently.Monitor output and downtime, initiating corrective actions as necessary.Support implementation of lean manufacturing, 5S, and other operational excellence initiatives.Troubleshoot process issues and ensure timely resolution in coordination with maintenance and quality teams.
Coordination & Reporting:Liaise with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Maintenance, and SCM.Prepare production reports for senior management and assist in data-driven decision-making.Track order status and ensure on-time delivery to customers.
Requirements:
Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field./ Rubber Industry preferred. Experience: 3–6 years in production and planning roles, preferably in manufacturing or engineering industries.
Skills:Strong knowledge of production planning tools and ERP systems.Familiarity with manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and scheduling.Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and reporting tools.Good analytical, organisational, and leadership skills.
CTC bracket: INR 384,000 - 420,000 PA
