Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning:

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and adjust production plans accordingly.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure raw material availability.
  • Balance workload across production lines to prevent bottlenecks.

Capacity and Resource Management:

  • Assess and plan for resource requirements, including labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Monitor capacity utilization and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Implement strategies to optimize production lead times and reduce idle time.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Use production data to track performance, identify issues, and propose corrective actions.
  • Generate and present reports on production efficiency, costs, and inventory levels.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Support lean manufacturing and process optimization initiatives.
  • Implement best practices to improve productivity and reduce waste.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with quality, maintenance, and logistics teams to resolve production challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align production plans with business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in production planning or manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in production planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Excel).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
