Role summary - PPC Engineer will plan, schedule, and control manufacturing activities to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization and maintaining data integrity in ERP. The role focuses on leading day-to-day production scheduling, BOM and routing, production order execution, and crossfunctional coordination.
Key responsibilities - Oversee all PPC activities across the teams, ensuring alignment with customer delivery schedules and lead internal planning to meet delivery milestones.
- Prepare and maintain monthly, weekly, and daily production schedules/loading plans considering raw material availability, outsourced parts, delivery timelines, and line capacity.
- Ensure documentation hygiene across ERP, including production plans, work orders timelines, and delivery tracking.
- Coordinate with SCM for material availability, and procurement status, raise alerts for shortages.
- Lead daily sunrise meetings and monthly operations reviews; document and circulate meeting minutes and action items across teams.
- Liaise with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Production, Maintenance and Warehouse to align schedules, resolve bottlenecks, and support for ontime delivery.
- Drive process improvements and standardization across PPC operations, assist in ERP implementation activities as required.
- Responsible to control entire manufacturing process and lead the entire team to meet delivery timelines.
Key performance indicators - Schedule Adherence - Alignment of actual vs planned.
- OnTime Delivery (OTD) - Orders delivered by committed date.
- Capacity & Resource Utilization - Maintain a minimum 85 - 90% utilization rate.
- Inventory Efficiency - Focus on high Inventory Turnover and zero production halts due to material stockouts.
- Production Downtime - Total planned/unplanned downtime.
Qualifications And Experience
- Education - B.Tech in Aerospace, Electronics, Mechanical, or related discipline with Minimum 60%
- Experience - 46 years purely in PPC, Good to have experience in composite manufacturing, PCB & Harness assembly & Drone Manufacturing.
- Software Proficiency Hands-on Experience in ERPNext or SAP (MRP/Planning modules).
