Summary:
Flowserve is currently looking for a Production Planner Associate.
In this role, you will coordinate and manage the production planning and scheduling for the manufacturing of optical systems and subsystems. You will work closely with the Line Manager to make sound business decisions that support meeting customer needs while ensuring quality, inventory, cost, and delivery goals are achieved.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all planning inputs including sales orders, OEM forecasts, custom/special orders, and strategic build plans.
- Prepare and distribute weekly production schedules and work order dispatch lists.
- Support production activities by scheduling and ensuring timely material availability in collaboration with the Supply Chain Management team.
- Follow up with all cross-functional teams to expedite materials and documentation needed to meet production schedules and customer expectations.
- Ensure daily production requirements are met to satisfy customer demand.
- Complete status reports for production progress, work in process (WIP), and stage inspection closure.
- Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Quality Control, Warehouse, and other internal teams to successfully execute the production plan.
- Identify production bottlenecks and ensure optimal utilization of resources to achieve operational targets.
- Conduct daily meetings to track planning and production schedules.
- Assist in standardization, product enhancement initiatives, and lead-time and costreduction projects.
- Promote continuous improvement across all processes and services.
- Contribute toward achieving departmental KPIs where applicable.
Requirements:
- Adequate knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably Oracle) and proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Practical understanding of MRP logic, scheduling logic, order policies, capacity planning, input/output control, product structures, routings, and standards maintenance.
- Knowledge of master scheduling, production planning, detailed scheduling, demand management, purchasing, and cost accounting practices.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities with the capability to work effectively across diverse teams and all employee levels.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Relevant industry experience (12 years) with understanding of industry practices and standards.
- Strong ability to read engineering drawings, documents, and technical reports.
- Sound knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and related tools/software.
- Flexible, selfmotivated, and proactive work style with strong customer service focus.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Mechanical Seals, Auxiliary Systems, and Rotating Equipment.
- Lean Certification (Yellow Belt or Green Belt).
- Handson experience in pump assembly, repair, or servicing.
