Production Manager

Role Summary :

We are seeking a hands-on manufacturing professional to own the day-to-day operations of our water purifier assembly line at our Contract Manufacturing Unit (CMU) in Pune. The role spans production execution, in-line quality and supply chain coordination to ensure consistent output, quality and on-time dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

:Production & Operation

s• Plan and execute daily/weekly production schedules to meet volume and efficiency targets

.• Supervise line operators, technicians and CMU contract workforce — manpower allocation, shift planning and adherence to SOPs

.• Track and improve shop-floor KPIs: OEE, line efficiency, downtime, FTR/rework %, yield

.• Troubleshoot line stoppages, balance the line and drive continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke)

.Qualit

y• Ensure in-process and end-of-line quality checks are conducted per defined QC protocols; sign off on daily quality reports

.• Drive Root Cause Analysis and CAPA on rejections, customer complaints and warranty failures (5-Why, fishbone)

.• Maintain compliance with BIS, ISO and internal quality standards applicable to water purifiers (RO/UV/UF)

.• Work with QA on incoming material quality, supplier quality issues and PPAP for new components

.Supply Chai

n• Coordinate with planning, stores and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of components — RO membranes, pumps, housings, filters, electronics, packaging

.• Monitor inventory levels, raise material requirements ahead of time and prevent line stoppages due to shortages

.• Liaise with the CMU partner and vendors for inwodking, rejections and dispatch of finished goods

.• Align FG output with the demand and dispatch plan

ns• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial or Production Engineerin

g.• 1–5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing / assembly environment — water purifier
