Production Manager

We're Hiring: Manager - Special Process & Quality (Anodizing) | Aerospace | Chennai

PMI Engineering Exports Pvt. Ltd., a PennAero Group company, is an AS9100 Rev D-certified aerospace precision manufacturer in MEPZ-SEZ, Chennai. We make flight-critical precision components for global aerospace OEMs including Boeing and Airbus.

As part of PennAero's growing India operations, we are looking for an experienced special-process leader to own quality and process excellence in our anodizing and surface-treatment area.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will lead process quality for anodizing, cleaning, etching and clean-room operations. You will make sure every part meets aerospace standards, customer requirements and NADCAP and AS9100 compliance. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role working closely with technicians, shift in-charges, engineering and customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead quality and process control for anodizing, cleaning, etching, wipe-off techniques and clean-room operations.

- Ensure full compliance with AS9100 and NADCAP requirements, and handle system, NADCAP and customer audits.

- Prepare and maintain work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

- Troubleshoot process and product issues quickly, and drive robust root cause analysis and CAPA.

- Use statistics and data tools to monitor process performance and track production and quality metrics.

- Drive new product and new process development for special processes.

- Ensure compliance with industry safety regulations and lead risk assessments.

- Represent the function in customer Teams and Zoom calls and technical reviews.

- Work across functions with technicians, shift in-charges, production, engineering and quality teams.

WHAT YOU BRING

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

- At least 10 years of experience in quality or special processes, including senior leadership responsibility.

- Strong core knowledge of anodizing, chemical cleaning, etching and clean-room practices.

- Hands-on exposure to AS9100 and NADCAP (Chemical Processing) requirements and audits.

- Working knowledge of statistical tools (SPC, Cp/Cpk) and data-based process monitoring.

- Good command of MS Office, and clear communication with customers and internal teams.

- Aerospace, defence or precision-manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
