Responsibilities:
The position is accountable for:
To ensure that actual production meets business requirements in terms of production, cost, quality and timelines
Productivity Reliability:
- Ensure that production operations are properly executed to manufacture goods in line with the set standards.
- Coordinating with Planning & Procurement for weekly production plan, raw and packing materials availability.
- Co-ordinate with other departments for production related activities such as new product development and to make successful trials and commercial production and to achieve vertical ramp up.
- Achieving business targets of daily SKU and volume compliance by optimal utilization of man, machine and material.
- Ensure that finished products achieve the company's quality standards and meet the demands of sales forecast as well as the stocks safety, oversee the production plans and adjustment.
- Ensure shipped products comply with quality standards.
Manufacturing Excellence:
- Improving machine efficiency, as per defined standards, efficiency tracker and by implanting Kaizens and Preventive Maintenance
- Effective manpower & Machine utilization to achieve pre-set production targets
- Planning and implementing predictive / preventive maintenance schedules for machinery to increase machine up-time / equipment reliability
- Drive KAIZEN & IDEA factory
TPM activities drive & implementation
System Compliance & Engagement-
- Follow up the implementation of the Company regulations, production procedures and GMP of production staff.
- Strict adherence to the audit requirements for FSSC 22000, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, meeting the regulatory and statutory compliance.
- Initiating RCS and CAPA for the break downs and food safety incidents and coordinating with the stake holders for implementation of the recommendations.
- Inform/ report the implementation in case of major or complexity/ problem to the upper management.
- Maintaining good industrial relation
- Providing SOP related training, Safety and Hygiene Related training to employees.
- Helping the core team of emergency and BCP as decided by the team at the time of emergency.
- Drive Shift Review meetings and proactively identifying the abnormalities and closure of the same on priority basis in coordination with cross functional team members.
- Preparing the inputs for the Weekly review of all FPR Production lines
- Quality Process compliance
- PPS/LTS implementation
- Adhering to SOPs, Manuals & work instructions for production operations
- Undertaking regular inspections to prevent accidents and adhere to safety norms.
- Controlling CCP's as per HACCP standards
- Production MIS
GMP Score Improvement & audit point closure
- Guarantee the hygiene, food and labor safety and safety of plant and machinery in production area; save electricity and reduce waste of packaging and raw materials
- GMP and GHK adherence across all areas
- Daily GMP walk and taking immediate actions and ensuring GMP across all areas and initiating actions to sustain the same.
- Closure of respective FPR line/area GMP Gaps and initiate CAPA to avoid the recurrence of Gaps.
Cost Saving Initiatives
- Executing energy saving & other cost saving measures with suitable modifications in process.
- Reject (Rework+scrap) reduction initiatives in respective FPR lines through Six Sigma Approach
- Drive Sparkle projects
Other Deliverables:
- Ensure the team is fully cross trained
- Lead direct reports to achieve goals & deliverables
- Promote & enable professional and technical development of staff.
- Coach, stimulate, and motivate employee input for continuous process improvements
- Ensure compliance to company & regulatory policies.
Education: BE or ME preferably Mechanical /Electrical
Experience: 9 – 12 years experience with 4 – 5 years of experience in FMCG industries
