Job Summary

The Production Manager-Men's Apparel is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the end-to-end garment production process to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, technical garment knowledge, and close coordination with merchandising, sourcing, quality, and factory teams.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Execution

Plan and manage production schedules in line with order requirements and delivery timelines

Monitor daily production output and resolve bottlenecks.

Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials

Quality Control

Ensure products meet buyer quality standards and specifications.

Coordinate with QA/QC teams to reduce defects and rework.

Implement continuous improvement practices for quality enhancement.

Vendor & Factory Management

Coordinate with in-house units or external factories for smooth production flow.

Conduct regular factory follow-ups to ensure compliance with timelines and standard.

Resolve production-related issues with vendors promptly.

Cost & Efficiency Management

Control production costs and minimize wastage.

Analyse production efficiency and implement corrective actions.

Support cost negotiations and productivity improvements.

Team Leadership

Lead, train & supervise production staff & line supervisors.

Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Conduct performance evaluations and skill development.

Compliance & Safety

Maintain proper production documentation and reports

Cross-Functional Coordination

Work closely with Merchandising, Planning, Sourcing, and Logistics teams.

Provide regular production status updates to management.

Required Qualifications

7-12 years of experience in garment production, with strong exposure to men's Apparel.

Proven experience in managing bulk production operations

Technical Skills & Knowledge

Strong understanding of men's woven garment construction.

Knowledge of fabric types, trims, and garment finishing processes.

Proficiency in production planning, line balancing, and capacity planning.

Familiarity with quality standards, audits, and compliance requirements.
