Production Manager – Leather Bags & Wallets

AKE Exporter is a 35+ year old leather bags and wallets manufacturing & export company serving global clients with structured systems across sampling, production, QC, and dispatch.
We are hiring a Production Manager to lead factory operations with strong planning discipline, execution control, and delivery accountability.
Role Overview
You will own end-to-end production execution — from order allocation to dispatch readiness — ensuring:
- On-time shipment adherence
- Controlled rejection levels
- Optimal manpower utilization
- Zero production delays due to planning gaps
This is a leadership role requiring daily floor presence and system-driven monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Control
- Prepare weekly & monthly production plans based on confirmed POs
- Allocate orders across production groups based on capacity
- Generate and monitor job cards
- Track daily production vs targets and resolve bottlenecks proactively
Factory Floor Management
- Supervise cutting, skiving, stitching, embossing, and edge inking departments
- Monitor efficiency and improve line productivity
- Control rework and wastage
- Ensure discipline and workflow adherence
Material & Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with merchandisers and procurement for material readiness
- Ensure raw materials are available before assigning production
- Prevent delays due to shortages or mis-planning
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure strict inline and final QC compliance
- Monitor rejection percentage and implement corrective actions
- Maintain inspection reports and production documentation
Delivery & Dispatch Alignment
- Align production plans with shipment timelines
- Coordinate with logistics for dispatch execution
Ideal Candidate
- 10+ years experience in leather bags / wallets manufacturing
- Strong understanding of group system production
- Experience managing multiple departments simultaneously
- Proficient in Excel / ERP-based production tracking
- Strong leadership and problem-solving capability
