Position Details
- Role: Production Manager
- Qualification: Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 10 years
- Industry Requirement: At least 5 years in Automotive (Engineering) Manufacturing
- Salary: Commensurate with experience
- Joining: Immediate
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Execution
- Plan and ensure raw material availability and machinery utilization
- Execute and monitor production schedules
- Conduct monthly production reviews and drive improvements
- Ensure on-time delivery and target achievement
Operational Management
- Lead manpower planning and shop floor management
- Optimize machine loading, cycle time, and efficiency
- Oversee tool planning and consumption control
Quality & Process Excellence
- Conduct and manage:
- LPC (Layered Process Control)
- DIR (Defect Investigation Report)
- 8D problem-solving
- Internal audits & maintain ≤99 PPM standards
- Ensure adherence to automotive quality standards
Engineering & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain:
- Control Plans
- PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis)
- APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
- Plan and develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling
- Prepare MRM (Management Review Meeting) reports
Customer Interaction
- Handle customer communication and requirements
- Support audits and ensure compliance with OEM expectations
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of CNC & VMC machining processes
- Experience in automotive manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with quality tools & core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good communication and customer handling ability
Preferred Profile
- Experience working with Tier-1 or OEM suppliers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Ability to handle high-volume, precision manufacturing
