Role Description The Production Manager will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations at the Haldia facility in an on-site, full-time capacity. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling production to meet delivery timelines, allocating resources, and monitoring output against targets. The role involves supervising production teams, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping on the shop floor. The Production Manager will track key performance indicators, resolve bottlenecks, and coordinate with maintenance, quality, supply chain, and management to ensure smooth operations. This position will also drive process improvements, cost optimization, and compliance with regulatory and company policies, while developing and mentoring team members.

Qualifications

  • Strong production planning and operations management skills, including experience with capacity planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
  • Proficiency in quality assurance practices, process standardization, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma).
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team supervision, delegation, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution.
  • Solid understanding of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and plant housekeeping best practices.
  • Ability to analyze production data, monitor KPIs, and prepare reports for management decision-making.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as maintenance, procurement, logistics, and quality control.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a focus on accountability and results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Production Management, Industrial Management, or a related field; relevant certifications are an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a production or plant management role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Comfort with using ERP or production management software and basic MS Office tools.
  • The candidate should have experience in the battery recycling industry.
