Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Control
- Prepare daily / weekly / monthly production plans based on customer demand and capacity.
- Ensure optimal utilization of offset printing machines, die cutters, and folding–gluing lines.
- Monitor plan vs actual and take corrective actions to avoid delays and backlogs.
- Control WIP and finished goods inventory.
2. Offset Printing Operations
- Manage offset printing processes (Heidelberg / Komori / KBA or similar).
- Ensure correct shade matching, ink consumption control, and print quality.
- Approve first-off samples and ensure process adherence.
- Reduce setup time and changeover losses.
3. Quality & Compliance (Pharma Focus)
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, ISO, and customer quality requirements.
- Control mix-ups, traceability, line clearance, and batch documentation.
- Coordinate with QA for in-process and final inspections.
- Drive Right First Time (RFT) and reduction of rejections.
4. Safety, EHS & 5S
- Ensure adherence to EHS standards and safe machine operations.
- Conduct safety talks, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Implement 5S, visual management, and housekeeping standards across shopfloor.
5. Manpower Management
- Plan and deploy manpower efficiently across shifts.
- Monitor attendance, overtime, and productivity.
- Train operators on machine operations, quality awareness, and safety.
- Build multi-skilled teams and reduce dependency.
6. Continuous Improvement & Lean
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, SMED, and OEE improvement initiatives.
- Improve carton output, reduce waste, ink consumption, power, and material losses.
- Track KPIs: Output, OEE, OTIF, Rejection %, Changeover time, Cost per 1000 cartons.
7. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Planning, QA, Maintenance, SCM, and Dispatch teams.
- Ensure timely availability of boards, inks, plates, dies, and consumables.
- Support new product development, trials, and customer audits.
8. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily production reports and MIS dashboards.
- Present performance reviews to management.
- Maintain SOPs, WI, and batch production records.

Educational Qualification
- Diploma / BE / BTech in Printing Technology, Mechanical, or Production Engineering
Experience
- 8–15 years in offset carton manufacturing
- Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership/managerial role
