We are seeking an experienced Production Incharge with a strong background in cosmetic manufacturing, particularly in managing in-house and third-party / contract production units. This role involves end-to-end supervision of manufacturing processes with a focus on quality, compliance, and timely delivery of cosmetic and personal care products. Only candidates with a cosmetic-specific qualification and industry experience will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full production lifecycle for skincare, haircare, and personal care products including creams, lotions, gels, and serums.
- Manage technology transfer from R&D to production, ensuring accurate scale-up and reproducibility.
- Supervise and coordinate third-party manufacturing partners to ensure adherence to formulations, batch consistency, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure accurate documentation, including Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), process validation reports, SOPs, and deviation reports.
- Collaborate with QA/QC, R&D, Regulatory, Packaging, and Supply Chain teams.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 22716, and other applicable cosmetic manufacturing regulations.
- Conduct audits, factory inspections, and quality assessments at third-party facilities.
- Monitor manpower planning, material availability, production output, and line efficiency.
- Train and mentor production staff on SOPs, equipment usage, safety, and hygiene standards.
Must-Have Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Cosmetic Technology, Cosmetic Science, or related field Mandatory
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in cosmetics manufacturing
- Strong experience in managing both in-house and third-party/contract manufacturing operations
- Expertise in handling tech transfer, formulation scale-up, and regulatory documentation
- Sound knowledge of cosmetic production equipment, batching, emulsification, filling, and packaging
- Proven ability to maintain regulatory compliance and face audits confidently
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Desirable
- Exposure to export production, vendor coordination, and contract manufacturing SLAs
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, cost optimization, and ERP-based production tracking
- Ability to troubleshoot batch failures, deviations, or machinery-related issues efficiently
