About the Role
InterioCraft Pvt. Ltd. is a Bengaluru-based interior fit-out company executing retail, residential, and commercial projects across India. We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our factory operations, which encompass both carpentry and mild steel (MS) fabrication. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can balance production efficiency with quality and delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production activities across the carpentry and MS fabrication units to ensure on-time delivery of project requirements
- Coordinate with project managers and site teams to align factory output with on-site execution schedules
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a multi-trade workforce — carpenters, fabricators, painters, and support labour — and maintain discipline and attendance
- Implement and enforce quality checks at each production stage — from raw material receipt and WIP to finished goods — ensuring zero-defect dispatch
- Monitor raw material consumption, inventory levels, and wastage; coordinate with procurement for timely availability of materials
- Read and interpret shop drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications to guide production teams accurately
- Ensure adherence to workshop safety standards, housekeeping protocols, and regulatory requirements at all times
- Identify production bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance output efficiency and reduce costs
- Maintain daily production logs, MIS reports, and present periodic updates to management
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules for machinery, tools, and equipment in the workshop
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Civil Engineering; ITI with extensive relevant experience will also be considered
- Minimum 5 years of experience in factory/workshop management, preferably in interior fit-out, furniture manufacturing, or structural fabrication
- Proven experience managing both carpentry (wood/veneer/laminate work) and MS fabrication teams simultaneously
- Ability to read shop drawings, 2D DWG files, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
- Strong leadership, planning, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage 20+ workers across multiple trades
- Working knowledge of material costing, production planning, and quality control processes
- Proficiency in basic computer tools (MS Excel, WhatsApp-based reporting); ERP or project management tool experience is a plus
- Strong command of Kannada and Hindi preferred; English communication is an advantage
