Role Summary
CARESMITH is looking for an experienced and proactive Production Manager to manage complete India assembling operations, production planning, supplier coordination, quality improvements, and manufacturing development for consumer electrical appliances.
The role requires strong knowledge of production processes, BOM creation, sourcing, assembly line setup, quality control, and cost optimization. The candidate will work closely with factories, sourcing teams, QC teams, and product development teams to ensure efficient and high-quality production execution.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Assembly Management
- Manage complete India assembling production activities for CARESMITH products.
- Coordinate production planning and execution with Indian factories.
- Ensure smooth assembly operations and production timelines.
- Support assembly line setup and process implementation for all products.
- Ensure safe packaging and handling of components during production and dispatch.
BOM & Production Planning
- Create and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials) for products and assemblies.
- Verify component usage, material requirements, and production readiness.
- Coordinate material planning with factories and suppliers.
Quality Improvement & RCA
- Conduct RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for quality issues and production defects.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions with factories.
- Drive continuous quality improvements in products and processes.
- Coordinate with QC teams for inspections and production audits.
Sourcing & Vendor Development
- Source local raw materials and packaging materials from Indian vendors.
- Develop and maintain a strong base of Indian manufacturers and suppliers.
- Evaluate factories based on quality, capability, pricing, and compliance.
- Support localization and cost optimization initiatives.
Packaging & Artwork Coordination
- Review packaging artworks and print files from the design team before factory release.
- Ensure packaging specifications and compliance requirements are correctly implemented.
Cost Optimization
- Work on unit cost reduction and production efficiency improvements.
- Identify opportunities for material optimization and alternate sourcing.
Compliance & Product Development
- Ensure awareness and implementation of BIS guidelines and compliance requirements.
- Assist in new product development activities.
- Provide technical and quality feedback to improve product performance and user experience.
Skills Required
- Strong understanding of production & assembly processes

- RCA and quality improvement experience

Preferred Experience
- 4–8 years experience in production, manufacturing, or assembly operations
- Experience in consumer electronics, personal care appliances, or electrical appliances preferred
- Experience coordinating with Indian factories and suppliers
- Knowledge of CKD/SKD assembly operations preferred
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Production, Operations, or related field preferred
