Production Manager – Mono Carton Packaging

A leading packaging organization is setting up a new Mono Carton / Folding Carton manufacturing facility in Uganda and is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor daily, weekly and monthly production.
- Ensure production targets are achieved with minimum wastage, rejection and downtime.
- Monitor machine performance, utilization and OEE.
- Manage production manpower and team productivity.
- Coordinate with Planning, Sales, Stores, Purchase, Dispatch, QC and Maintenance.
- Ensure products meet approved quality and customer specifications.
- Control rejection, rework and customer complaints.
- Drive preventive maintenance and quick resolution of machine breakdowns.
- Monitor material usage, production costs and wastage.
- Maintain production records and operational reports.
- Lead Production, QC and Maintenance teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality and overall factory efficiency.
- Ensure safety, housekeeping and operational discipline.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Production Manager in carton, printing, packaging or similar manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Printing
- Die-cutting
- Folding & Gluing
- Finishing processes
- Experience in Mono Carton / Folding Carton production will be highly preferred.
- Corrugated box experience will be an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and team-management skills.
- Africa experience will be an added advantage.
