Your role and responsibilities

In this role, ensures efficient and cost-effective production results that meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs, and proper productivity level).

The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite

This role is contributing to the ABB India, Electrification Business Smart Power Division in India. will be based at Nelamangala - Bangalore - India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Production Planning & Resource Management Manage capacity planning, resource allocation, and production scheduling to meet monthly production targets and ensure on-time delivery against demand plans.

  • Material, Equipment & Operational Excellence Ensure timely material availability through close coordination with Planning and Procurement teams, while supporting equipment and facility improvements to enhance productivity.

  • Quality & Continuous Improvement Achieve customer quality targets, minimize line stoppages, and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives across Production, Quality, and Procurement functions.

  • Issue Resolution & KPI Management Manage critical product and equipment-related issues, monitor operational KPIs, and implement corrective actions to improve overall performance and efficiency.

  • Safety, 5S & People Leadership Promote an effective safety culture, maintain 5S standards, lead, coach, and develop teams to ensure a skilled, motivated, and balanced workforce.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related discipline.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, production, or operations management within a high-volume industrial environment.

  • Extensive knowledge and practical experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP, including production planning, inventory management, and operational reporting.

  • Solid leadership capabilities with experience managing cross-functional teams, boosting performance, and developing effective workforces.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English proficiency in additional languages.

  • Solid strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen, with the ability to translate operational goals into actionable plans.

  • Demonstrated solid skills in problem-solving, decision-making, continuous improvement, and supporting operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.
