Job Description

Production Executive – Fine Jewellery

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Work Arrangement: Work from office

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Experience: Relevant experience in jewellery production or manufacturing

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

About our Client

Our client is a growing fine jewellery house based in Ahmedabad, operating two distinct brands within the contemporary luxury segment. The organization brings together a close-knit team of designers, visual thinkers, and engineers united by a shared passion for craft, design, and storytelling. With a presence in multiple Indian cities and a design-led approach, the company works at the intersection of traditional Indian craftsmanship and modern design sensibility. This role exists to bridge the creative studio and the production floor, ensuring that design concepts are translated into finished pieces of exceptional quality.

About the Role

In this role, you will be the operational backbone connecting the design studio to the production floor. You will work closely with designers, production leadership, vendors, and artisans to transform collection briefs into production-ready pieces — managing timelines, sourcing materials, monitoring quality, and solving problems before they delay a launch.

This is a hands-on coordination role suited to someone who understands fine jewelry production deeply, communicates clearly across teams, and takes ownership of the entire production lifecycle from sampling through delivery. You will be central to ensuring that every piece meets the brand's exacting standards for craftsmanship and finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with design and creative teams to interpret collection briefs and develop production plans
  • Coordinate with production leadership, vendors, and artisans to execute prototypes and final pieces on schedule
  • Oversee the full production lifecycle — sampling, prototyping, fabrication, and final delivery
  • Monitor production timelines against collection launch calendars and flag risks proactively
  • Maintain quality control standards at every stage of production
  • Source and manage raw materials including gemstones, metals, and components
  • Track inventory, production costs, and resource utilization
  • Liaise with internal teams (design, merchandising, operations) to ensure seamless workflow
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce production delays

Required Qualifications

Education: Degree or relevant experience in Jewellery Production, Manufacturing, or a related field

Experience: Demonstrated experience in fine jewellery production or a closely related manufacturing environment

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of fine jewellery production processes and techniques
  • Working knowledge of gemstones, materials, and fabrication methods
  • Familiarity with artisan coordination and vendor management in the jewellery sector

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and coordination abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and craftsmanship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with both traditional Indian jewellery techniques and contemporary design
  • Exposure to bridal or heirloom jewellery production
  • Familiarity with inventory or production tracking systems

Technical Skills

Production: Jewellery manufacturing processes, sampling, prototyping, fabrication

Materials: Gemstones, precious metals, component sourcing

Coordination: Vendor management, artisan liaison, cross-functional collaboration

Quality: Quality control standards, craftsmanship assessment

What you will Bring

You understand that fine jewellery production is as much about relationships and timing as it is about materials and technique. You have worked with artisans and vendors long enough to know how to communicate expectations clearly and follow up consistently. You are comfortable juggling multiple pieces and collections at different stages simultaneously, and you know how to prioritize when deadlines tighten. You notice the details — a setting that isn't quite right, a finish that needs another pass — and you speak up before small issues become delays. Most importantly, you take pride in being the person who ensures that what was designed actually gets made, and made well.

Why this Opportunity

  • Dual-brand exposure: Work across two distinct fine jewellery brands — one rooted in bridal and heirloom traditions, the other exploring modern fine jewellery through contemporary design
  • Craft-centered environment: Join a collaborative team of designers, visual thinkers, and engineers united by a passion for excellence
  • In-house artisan network: Coordinate with a dedicated team of skilled artisans producing handcrafted pieces
  • Growth-stage luxury house: Be part of an organization building a considered luxury brand with long-term ambitions
