About the Role

AVG Modular is looking for a Production Designer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for converting approved designs into accurate, production-ready drawings and coordinating with the production team to ensure smooth execution.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed production drawings, working drawings, elevations, sections and layouts for modular furniture and interior projects.
Convert approved designs into practical and manufacturing-ready drawings.
Prepare accurate dimensions, material specifications, hardware details and other production requirements.
Coordinate with the Design, Production, Procurement and Project teams.
Communicate with the shop floor to clarify drawings and resolve production-related issues.
Review drawings carefully to identify errors before production.
Make revisions based on site conditions, design changes or production requirements.
Ensure drawings are completed and released within project timelines.
Maintain proper records of drawings and revisions.
Identify practical solutions to improve production efficiency and reduce errors/rework.

Requirements

Bachelor's in Interior Design, Architecture, Product Design or a related field.
Min 5 years of relevant experience in modular or interior design manufacturing.
Good knowledge of AutoCAD software.
Understanding of modular construction and manufacturing.
Ability to read and prepare technical/production drawings.
Good understanding of measurements, dimensions, materials and hardware.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and coordination skills.

We are looking for someone who is practical, detail-oriented, responsible and willing to learn. The candidate should be comfortable coordinating with both office and shop-floor teams and should be able to understand how a design will actually be manufactured and executed.
