Role Overview:
As a Product Tester, you will play a critical role in validating our software products through comprehensive manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test cases, managing defects, and ensuring overall product quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Your contributions will help us deliver seamless and robust products that exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and maintain detailed test cases based on product specifications and requirements.
- Perform thorough manual and automated testing of web and mobile applications.
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and Swagger to validate endpoints and integrations.
- Perform backend testing using SQL queries to ensure data integrity and correctness across MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases.
- Conduct performance and load testing to assess system behavior under various load conditions.
- Report and manage defects using tools like JIRA and Notion, following a structured defect management process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality software.
- Monitor application health and error tracking using tools like Sentry and NewRelic.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new testing tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve testing processes.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including Manual Testing, Automation Testing, SDLC, STLC, and Agile principles.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, and JMeter.
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for database testing and data validation.
- Experience with test management and bug tracking tools such as JIRA and Notion.
- Familiarity with error tracking tools like Sentry and NewRelic.
- Ability to perform performance and load testing.
- Excellent analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively report defects and coordinate with development teams.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging tools and technologies in the testing space.
Preferred:
- Experience in Automation testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
