Role Overview:
The Manager – Product & Business Strategy will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives, product innovations, and FinTech solutions within CarTrade Labs. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong business acumen, and a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex financial and customer challenges.
The ideal candidate will have experience in building and scaling FinTech products across domains such as digital lending, payments, insurance, embedded finance, wealth-tech, credit risk, underwriting, or financial marketplaces. The individual will drive ideas from conception to implementation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create innovative, customer-centric financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning, product vision, and execution of FinTech innovation initiatives.
- Identify emerging opportunities in lending, payments, insurance, credit, and embedded finance ecosystems relevant to the automotive and mobility sectors.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, customer discovery, and ecosystem mapping to inform product strategy and business decisions.
- Define and communicate product roadmaps, business objectives, and growth strategies aligned with company goals.
- Work closely with Engineering, Data Science, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, and Business teams to conceptualize, build, and launch new FinTech products.
- Develop customer journeys and product experiences that simplify financial transactions and improve user adoption.
- Evaluate regulatory requirements and ensure product initiatives align with applicable financial services regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Identify and establish partnerships with banks, NBFCs, insurers, payment service providers, and FinTech platforms to accelerate product innovation.
- Define KPIs, monitor product performance, analyze customer behavior, and leverage data-driven insights to optimize outcomes.
- Drive experimentation, rapid prototyping, and agile execution to validate new business models and product hypotheses.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, emerging technologies, and competitive developments within the FinTech landscape.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA from a reputed institution preferred.
- 3 plus years of experience in Product Management, Business Strategy, FinTech, Digital Financial Services, Consulting, or related domains.
- Demonstrated experience working on FinTech products such as lending, payments, insurance, wealth management, embedded finance, credit platforms, or financial marketplaces.
- Strong understanding of financial services ecosystems, customer journeys, risk frameworks, and regulatory considerations.
- Proven ability to translate business opportunities into scalable product solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Experience working with agile product development methodologies and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies including AI, Generative AI, data analytics, and automation within financial services is highly desirable.
- Experience in innovation labs, startup ecosystems, incubators, accelerators, or high-growth technology companies will be an added advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Automotive Finance, Vehicle Loans, Dealer Financing, Embedded Insurance, D igital Payments, or Mobility FinTech solutions.
- Exposure to partnerships with Banks, NBFCs, Insurance Companies, FinTechs, or Financial Marketplaces.
- Experience launching and scaling 0-to-1 products in a high-growth environment.
