The Product Specialist at Molex plays a critical role in supporting the Power and Signal Business Unit (PSBU), Industrial Solutions Business Unit (ISBU), and High‑Power portfolio by combining deep product knowledge with strong customer and sales engagement
Our Team
The Product Specialist Team focuses on resolving technical queries from customers by providing accurate, timely, and value‑driven product guidance. The team works closely with sales and product management to create value‑added solutions that address customer application needs and design challenges. In addition to technical support, the team actively identifies opportunities to up‑sell and cross‑sell relevant products from the PSBU portfolio. Through deep product knowledge and customer engagement, the team supports revenue growth while strengthening customer trust and long‑term partnerships
What You Will Do
Providing ECE – The role is expected to consistently deliver an Exceptional Customer Experience (ECE) in every interaction by demonstrating ownership, responsiveness, and technical‑commercial excellence. This includes providing accurate, first‑time‑right solutions, proactive communication, and timely follow‑ups across all customer touchpoints
Deep Product & Application Expertise – Maintain strong understanding of product features, applications, pricing, lifecycle status, and competitive positioning.
Revenue Growth & Business Development – Drive sales growth for assigned product portfolios by identifying whitespace opportunities, new applications, and share‑gain opportunities within existing customers.
Sales Enablement & Support – Enable sales teams, channel partners, and inside sales through product training, value proposition articulation, and solution recommendations.
Customer Opportunity Support – Support customers through product selection, RFQs, samples, and technical‑commercial discussions to accelerate design‑ins and approvals.
Market & Competitive Intelligence – Monitor competitors such as TE Connectivity, Amphenol, JST, and Phoenix Contact, analyse product gaps, and recommend actions to defend or grow market share.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Operations/Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing to resolve issues impacting revenue and customer satisfaction.
Forecasting & Pipeline Management – Track opportunities, design wins, forecasts, and conversion pipelines to provide demand visibility and highlight risks and upside opportunities.
Product Lifecycle & Knowledge Development – Support new product launches, modifications, transitions, and EOL activities while continuously upgrading knowledge on new technologies, product releases, and portfolio roadmaps.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Experience – 2-5 Years of experience.
Educational Qualification – Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred, but not mandatory for candidates with relevant industry experience.
Technical–Commercial Aptitude – Ability to understand technical products and applications and translate them into customer‑focused commercial solutions.
Industry Exposure – Prior experience working with OEMs, distributors, or channel partners in a technical sales or customer‑facing role is highly desirable.
