Role Overview: The Product Specialist – New Product Development (NPD) will be responsible for driving end-to-end product development, from early concept and ideation through prototyping, validation, and market launch. This role acts as a central coordination point across cross-functional teams including design, engineering, sourcing, quality, supply chain, and marketing to ensure timely and cost-effective product execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Product Ideation & Planning

• Own product development from concept to launch. Define product requirements, scope, timelines, and success criteria.

2.Cross-functional Collaboration

• Act as the central coordination point between design, engineering, sourcing, quality, supply chain, and marketing teams.

3.Product Development & Prototyping

• Work with internal teams and manufacturers to develop prototypes, review designs, and validate samples.

4.Vendor & Partner Management

• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers across product categories and manage ongoing relationships.

5.Quality & Compliance Oversight

• Support testing, validation, inspections, and corrective actions to meet quality standards.

6.Cost & Timeline Management

• Track budgets and timelines, flag risks early, and drive timely resolution.

7.Market & Customer Insight

• Support market research, customer feedback analysis, and competitive benchmarking.

8.Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain clear documentation and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

9.Product Launch Support

• Coordinate with marketing, operations, and supply chain teams for successful product launches.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, product design, or a related field.

• 3–6 years of professional experience in product development or new product development

(NPD) roles.

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in product development, sourcing, or product testing.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing, quality, and sourcing workflows.

• Solution-oriented mindset with the agility to transition efficiently between tasks and priorities.

• Excellent communication, ownership, and problem-solving skills.

Good To Have:

• Exposure to D2C or B2B product launches.

• Experience scaling products from pilot to mass production.
