The Standards & Regulations Engineer MTP is responsible for ensuring regulatory, safety, and standards compliance of Medium Tractor Products throughout the product lifecycle.
The role works in close collaboration with Corporate Product Compliance & Support (PC&S), MTP Product Groups, CPPD, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.
Regulatory Interpretation & Work Scope Definition -
Act as the MTP focal point for applicable global and regional regulations and standards (ISO, SAE, EN, IEC, BIS, UNECE, etc.).
Interpret Vehicle Operating Requirements (VOR) and regulatory inputs from Corporate PC&S and translate them into clear work scope for MTP product teams.
Define regulatory applicability by product, configuration, market, and program phase.
Compliance Documentation & Evidence
Facilitate And Review Creation Of Required Compliance Artifacts, Including
Technical Construction Files (TCFs)
Declarations of Conformity (DoCs)
Regulatory checklists and compliance matrices
Ensure documentation meets Enterprise Procedure EP 1:45 expectations and audit readiness.
Standards Monitoring & Impact Assessment
Track updates to applicable standards and regulations.
Assess Impact Of New Or Revised Regulations On
Existing MTP products
New product introductions
Regional configurations
Support deviation, risk assessment, and mitigation planning when compliance gaps are identified.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or Systems Engineering.
Experience in standards, regulations, product compliance, or product safety.
Ability to interpret complex regulatory language and translate it into engineering requirements.
Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholdermanagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in heavy equipment, offhighway, or industrial machinery.
Familiarity with ISO / SAE / EN / IEC / BIS standards relevant to mobile machinery.
Prior experience working with Corporate Compliance or PC&Stype organizations.
Experience supporting NPI / CPI programs across multiple configurations and markets.
