Brief Description about the role: The Electrification Core engineering team requires experienced power electronics system engineers to apply best in class design & analysis skills and derive system specifications, requirements for delivering Jaguar Land Rover's in-house electronic design, charging system for PHEV & BEV. Objective is to deliver levels of reliability and robustness exceeding anything that we have seen before.

Skills, experience and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor, master's degree in electrical/electronic/instrumentation/computer engineering
  • Proven understanding of power electronics switching, Battery, charging modules hardware and software algorithms.
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience in Realtime Embedded software architecturevalidation for QM and High Integrity software
  • Extensive experience in AUTOSAR and Non-AUTOSAR compliant software development delivery through technical teams
  • Extensive experience in planning and prioritization of software architecture integration tests and stakeholder management (Product Owner)
  • Experience in Software architecture validation environments (Ex: vECU/ VT system/Bench Rigs)
  • Hands-on experience in software integration testing and maintaining the platform stability.
  • Proficiency in requirements definition and requirements management tooling (TRM or similar)
  • Experience of model-based systems engineering tools and techniques (ideally CATIA Magic Systems)
  • Understanding of systems engineering V life cycle, working experience with ASPICE process
  • Experience in end-to-end software delivery
  • Experience in version control tools like Tortoise SVN, Git
  • Experience in Rally/JIRA or similar project management tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience of meeting deadlines.
  • Strong people skills and the ability to work individually and in a cross functional team

  • MBSE tool such as CATIA Magic Systems or similar (MSOSA)

  • JIRA/Confluence/GIT

Desired:

  • Extensive hands-on experience in development of AUTOSAR architecture for QM and High Integrity using System Desk/EB Tresos/Architecture development Tools
  • End-to-end knowledge of AUTOSAR and non-AUTOSAR architectures.
  • Product design lifecycle experience/Automotive Embedded software life cycle
  • A knowledge of typical BEV, MHEV and PHEV SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) solutions and technologies

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Define and maintain the SWE5 Integration strategy and scope of testing.
  • Own the Software Architecture Validation backlog and roadmap for High-Integrity ECU platforms.
  • Responsible for software architecture Platform stability.
  • Define, plan, and prioritize software architecture integration and validation activities in alignment with program milestones.
  • Creating the epics and user stories for integration testing activities and estimate the efforts.
  • Collaborate with Software Architects, Systems Engineers, Product Managers, and Feature Owners to ensure architecture readiness.
  • Drive validation of AUTOSAR and Non-AUTOSAR software architectures across virtual and physical validation environments.
  • Lead architecture integration testing in vECU, SiL, HiL, VT systems, bench rigs, and vehicle platforms.
  • Ensure platform stability, software quality (ASPICE & ISO26262), and integration readiness throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Manage architecture-related requirements and traceability using requirements management tools.
  • Support end-to-end software delivery following the Systems Engineering V-Cycle and ASPICE processes.
  • Prioritize architecture enablers, technical debt, defect resolution, and platform enhancements based on business and technical value.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across Systems, Hardware, Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and Software teams.
  • Drive issue resolution and risk management for architecture integration and validation activities.
  • Support software release planning and architecture sign-off activities.
