Your impact
As a
Product Owner at Jacobs, you will drive the endtoend lifecycle of global digital products used across industries such as Transport, Energy & Utilities, Defence & Security, Government & Public Services, Health & Life Sciences, and Manufacturing. You will collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to turn complex technical and business needs into actionable product outcomes with real world impact.
You will steward your product from ideation through development, deployment, and transition to operations, ensuring clarity, alignment, and quality at every stage.
- Own and manage the product backlog and roadmap for a defined digital product.
- Translate user needs into wellstructured user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Lead execution to ensure delivery is on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and architecture teams to shape solutions and priorities.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and release readiness.
- Track progress, risks, dependencies, and costs (Opex/Capex).
- Communicate status, milestones, decisions, and risks clearly to stakeholders.
- Support product demos, showcases, and enduser adoption activities.
- Coordinate with external vendors and partners as needed, ensuring quality and alignment.
- Facilitate smooth transition of mature products to operational and support teams.
Here's what you'll need
Required
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar Agile product role.
- Proven experience working with software development teams.
- Strong backlog management, prioritization, and roadmap planning skills.
- Understanding of software delivery lifecycles, Agile practices, and DevOps concepts.
- Working knowledge of IT budgeting (Opex vs. Capex) and cost tracking.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and crossfunctional collaboration skills.
- Structured problem solving and decision making capabilities.
Nice to Have
- Experience collaborating with external vendors or third party delivery partners.
- Exposure to digital products in engineering, infrastructure, industrial, or technical domains
