To succeed in this role, candidates must possess strong knowledge and practical experience in the low-voltage (LV) domain, along with hands-on expertise in substation installation and operations.
Mandatory Skills:
- Demonstrate strong hands-on experience with Schneider Electric or equivalent switch gear products.
- Possess knowledge of low- and medium-voltage panel design and applications.
- Understand numerical relays and relay coordination principles.
- Be proficient in wiring practices and busbar technologies.
- Working knowledge of Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs) and Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCBs).
- Exhibit familiarity with PLC programming and communication protocols such as Ethernet, CANbus, and Modbus.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant IS and IEC standards applicable to power panels.
- Be experienced with EcoStruxure platforms.
- Have hands-on experience in the installation and commissioning of LV and MV panels.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop new offerings within the low-voltage (LV) domain.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies and solutions and recommend their implementation.
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading and preparing single-line diagrams.
- Derive technical specifications based on customer requirements.
- Conduct equipment demonstrations and deliver product training.
- Prepare and develop technical and exercise manuals.
- Maintain knowledge of international technical standards and certifications.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Possess strong knowledge of power systems applied in building and industrial installations.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a small, multi-tasking technical team.
- Adapt quickly to changing work environments and shifting priorities.
- Exhibit strong written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Show excellent organizational and time management skills to support efficient lab operations.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to troubleshoot a wide range of situations.
- Exhibit well-developed interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach to effectively engage diverse stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain robust safety procedures within the laboratory environment.
- Show competency in using basic power tools.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by initiating and implementing 5S, Kaizen, and automation ideas to enhance operational efficiency and resource utilization.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, front office, offer marketing, manufacturing units, and suppliers.
Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- 5–7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong foundation in electrical and electronics engineering principles.
- Exposure across design, manufacturing, field operations, and laboratory environments.
